ENACTUS is an international non-profit organization that works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders. Participating students form teams in their university campuses and apply business concepts to develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. 

On the 7th of September, 2016, students of GITAM Institute of Management observed Ethnic Day and Teacher’s Day. Dressed in the colourful attires of their respective regions and communities, the students were seen having a great time. Each batch took pride in enacting the roles of their teachers.

On the 31st August 2016, a Non Formal Sanskrit Learning Center of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan was instituted at the Centre for Gandhian Studies. The Sanskrit Centre aims to offer widespread access to Sanskrit language and education to students and faculty as also the general public by conducting a certificate program in Sanskrit.  This was followed by a Sanskrit Exhibition which was viewed by students from across various disciplines in the University.  

Mr Ninad Karpe, Deputy Chairman, CII –Western Region and MD and CEO, Aptech India Limited, addressed the students of GITAM Institute of Management, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam on 23^rd August, 2016.

On the 19^th and 20^th of August, 2016, a training program on road safety was organized for the students of GITAM Institute of Management. The Chief Guest was Sri N.Balasubramaniam, IPS, Transport Commissioner, Visakhapatnam.
