MOTIVATIONAL_TALK_ON_FUTURE_TECHNOLOGY

Mr Ninad Karpe, Deputy Chairman, CII –Western Region and MD and CEO, Aptech India Limited, addressed the students of GITAM Institute of Management, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam on 23rd August, 2016.
His talk was focused on acquainting the students with technological advances and how to equip themselves mentally to work in a highly technological workplace of the future. He spoke of a number of technological marvels that would soon become part of daily life. He illustrated with videos, devices such as the advanced Japanese robots that would replace clerical staff and servants at home, wrist watch technology that could monitor a person’s health and vital signs and call for help in medical emergencies, Google Home that could act as a personal assistant and manage a person’s entire routine, and various other technologies. He predicted the end of the era of e-mail and twitter and the beginning of an era of live video streaming for all communication. He told the students that they were very fortunate to be entering the workforce at a time of great technological advances which would make life easy and exciting. He urged the students to be ready to compete with the best in the world and to be ready to break all the barriers as there is no limit to the success of an individual who can think innovatively and make creative use of technology. 


The talk was followed by an interactive question and answer session. Mr. Karpe was honoured with a memento by Prof P. Sheela, Principal, GITAM Institute of Management. Large number of students and faculty benefitted from the lecture.
