INAUGURATION_OF_SANSKRIT_CENTRE_AND_VEDIC_SCIENCES_CLUB

On the 31st August 2016, a Non Formal Sanskrit Learning Center of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan was instituted at the Centre for Gandhian Studies. The Sanskrit Centre aims to offer widespread access to Sanskrit language and education to students and faculty as also the general public by conducting a certificate program in Sanskrit.  This was followed by a Sanskrit Exhibition which was viewed by students from across various disciplines in the University.  


On the same day, the Akshayapatra Foundation’s Vedic Sciences Club was also inaugurated at the Centre for Gandhian Studies. The Vedic Club aims to generate interest in and disseminate the ancient knowledge and wisdom of the Vedas amongst the current generation.

The inaugural was organized in the august presence of the following dignitaries: Prof. K.Siva Rama Krishna, Pro Vice Chancellor, GU, Niskinchana Bhakta Dasa, President, Akshaya Patra, Visakhapatnam, Dr T.Sundara Raj Perumall, Vice President, Samskruta Bharati, Visakhapatnam and Prof. P.Sheela, Principal, GIM. Dr. B. Nalini, In Charge Director, Centre for Gandhian Studies was also present.
