INITIATION DAY FOR FRESHERS

Initiation Day for all the new students joining the various UG and PG courses in the year 2015 was held on 19^th August, 2015 at Mother Teresa Auditorium. Freshers and seniors full of excitement could be seen interacting with each other, introducing themselves and sharing their academic and career dreams. The program was presided over by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. G. Subrahmanyam, who gave an overview of the multi-disciplinary academic and extra-curricular, research and outreach based programmes of the University.  Dean and Principal, Prof. K. Siva Rama Krishna gave a comprehensive review of the profile of GITAM Institute of Management and congratulated the students for their decision to join GIM and offered valuable guidance on how to emerge as successful management professionals. Sri T.Muralidharan, Chairman, TMI Group, Hyderabad, recalled his student days at IIM –Ahmedabad and motivated the students to focus on academics from day one and to be the best in at least any one field. The Chief Guest, Dr. Sripada Chandrasekhar, President & Global Head HR, Dr. Reddy’s Labs Limited, held the audience captive with his oratorial skills and recalled his rise from humble origins, emphasizing that language, class or region can never be a barrier for career success as long as students are passionate, sincere and hard-working.
