Sheela, Vice-Principal, GITAM Institute of Management, represented the
Institute at the National Conference on “Promoting Business Case for
Transparency in Smart City” organized by Global Compact Network India (GCNI) at
New Delhi on 11th and 12th April, 2016. The Conference
attended by eminent delegates, corporate, academicians, policy makers and
community leaders from India and abroad, discussed the various dimensions of
Indian Smart Cities and ways and means for business leaders and entrepreneurs
as also private players to co-ordinate with the Government in developing
all-inclusive world-class cities which would be totally transparent in
governance. Prof. Sheela’s presentation focusing on the measures initiated by
GITAM Institute of Management to involve students in the development of Vizag
as a Smart City received wide appreciation.
