1.      Special attributes necessary for management students:  Always be open to the market reality, always check whether your skill set is competitive or not with reference to the current market trends, prepare yourselves for the next step, keep learning-internally and externally, Have fun with friends.
2.      How do you balance your time? (work-life balance)
It is not at all possible to spend time with family and friends once we get into the corporate world. So it is important to make sure that at least one day a week, our time must be dedicated to our family. See that personal relations are never affected.
3.     What recommendations do you have for the current generation regarding a job search strategy?
Keep watching for the trends in the market. If you have an interest towards an industry, see that you know everything about it. Always keep yourself updated.
4.     What classes and subjects did you find to be most useful?
Every subject is important while we study. Situations demand us to apply concepts that we have studied. Concept application also depends on our career development. Higher we grow into the hierarchy more concepts we apply. For example, Marketing Mix- 4P’s.
  1. What made you choose GIM and why?
Choosing a course is an independent decision. Go with whatever interests you the most. In choosing marketing course, college helped me the most in the elective subjects.
  1. What was the most beneficial thing you learned and/or experience you had while in GIM? How do you use this in your current role?
GITAM Institute of Management has a fun environment; location and culture played an important role. We had a lot of time in the afternoon, I used to play sports as the university has many sports facilities. All of us friends used to hang out in the canteen in the evenings where we used to discuss about our assignments.
Curriculum was more driven. GITAM Institute of Management has Industry oriented curriculum which really helped a lot for applying in the corporate world. GITAM University has a very dynamic environment. Event management brought out the skills inside me. GITAM Institute of Management gave me chance of practically experiencing all the management functions.
