Mr. T.Vijaya Bhaskar and Ms. T. Priyanka of MBA First year won the Second Prize in Singing as part of the event TITANS 2015, organised by Chaitanya Engineering College, Visakhapatnam, November 16-17, 2015.

Mr. Rallabandi Girish Chandra of MBA First year, secured first prize in ICICI StockMIND season 4 college round. He has been selected for the National round competing with 700 students from B-schools across the country.

SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS FOR THE SPLENDID JOB OF DECORATING THE CAMPUS FOR THE GEM FEST, 11-12 December, 2015,  BY STUDENTS OF THE CREATIVITY DEPARTMENT WORKING UNDER THE ABLE GUIDANCE OF OUR FACULTY, MS.S.ANJANI DEVI and MS.B.KRISHNA KUMARI. 

 NSS Report (From 1st July 2015 to October 31st 2015) NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME GITAM ISTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT UNIT - 7 STUDENTS under the able guidance of NSS Programme Co-ordinator, Dr. Shaik Shamshuddin, organised and conducted various activities in a span of just 5 months.

  • 16th July 2015 - Plantation Programme ( Vana Mahotsavam): Vana Mahotsavam programme was organised at Municipal School of Kancherlapalem which was adopted by GIM (GITAM Institute of Management) NSS (National Service Scheme) students. 25 plants were planted around the School.
  • 9th august 2015 - Anti Ragging Rally: NSS GITAM University organised the Anti ragging Rally on campus. 50 GIM students participated in  the rally inaugurated by the University Vice chancellor.
  • 30th august 2015 - Tenneti park cleaning Programme: GIM NSS students organised and participated in cleaning programme of Tenneti park near Kailasagiri, Visakhapatnam. 60 student volunteers from GIM participated and cleaned the premises in the presence of Principal Prof. K. Siva Rama Krishna, University Registrar, Director Student affairs, NSS Programme coordinator Prof. Swamy, Programme officer Dr. Shaik Shamshuddin. All the people including the visitors appreciated the effort and initiation of the students. 
  •  5th September 2015 - Teachers Day Celebration: GIM NSS students participated in the Teachers’ Day celebrations organised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
  • 24th September 2015 - NSS foundation Day Celebrations: GIM NSS students organised and participated in NSS foundation Day events on 24th of September. They distributed saplings to teaching and non-teaching staff and planted spalings in the Institute premises.
  • 26th September 2015 - Programme for Mentally challenged:GIM NSS volunteers organised competitions in painting, singing, dancing, drawing and gave away prizes to the mentally challenged students of Lebenshilfe, MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam. They also arranged lunch for 200 students.
  • October 2nd 2015 - Swachh Bharath: GIM NSS students participated along with Young India NGO in beach cleaning programme which was held on October 2nd 2015 form 6 am onwards. GIM NSS students cleaned the beach with the help of GVMC and Young India.
  • 9th October 2015 - Age care Foundation Rally: NSS students of GIM participated in a rally organised by Age care foundation at RK beach Visakhapatnam. The prominent people of the city, students of other institutes, Programme coordinator – NSS, Programme Officers – NSS participated in the rally inaugurated by the City Police commissioner.
  • 31st October 2015 - Ironman of India Celebrations: NSS GITAM University , on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, conducted a seminar and a rally.

The prestigious National Institute of Personnel Management Award – 2015 was conferred upon the Dean and Principal, Prof.K.Siva Rama Krishna,  at the 34th Annual National Conference held at Coimbatore on 8th October, 2015. This award is a unique distinction bestowed upon HR professionals who have rendered exemplary service in the field of Human Resource Management.
