And so we come to the last issue of Yuvaan for this academic year! We take this opportunity to offer our heartiest congratulations to our beloved Dean and Principal Prof. K. Siva Rama Krishna on his appointment as the new Pro-Vice Chancellor of GITAM University. We remember with pride and gratitude his sterling contribution to our Institute and wish him all the very best for his new innings! He will continue to be a great inspiration and guiding force for all of us. We also congratulate our dynamic Vice-Principal Prof. P. Sheela on her taking over as Principal In-charge, GITAM Institute of Management!
The March-April 2016 issue looks back at the year that was with pride and joy. It has its usual collection of articles and report of achievements, along with two interviews with GIM Alumni. We had our Annual Day in March 2016 with all our young achievers winning laurels in academics, sports and other extra-curricular activities. We had the privilege of hosting eminent academicians and dignitaries from the industry as our Chief Guests for the 28th Annual Day Celebrations. The month of April, as usual, was packed with academic meetings and exams.
May I thank Dr. N. Lalitha for her article on Feminism and also our editorial team members Ms. Y. Sruthi, Ms. U. Akansha and Mr. K. Kranthi Kumar for interviewing some of our alumni who are making their mark in the corporate world.
It is time to thank all who have been part of the exciting journey of Yuvaan so far, and have contributed to the newsletter in one way or another.
We wish all of you happy summer holidays, and look forward to working with you in the new academic year!
